Summer is officially here when the 4th of July rolls around.

Rodeos, art fairs, craft festivals and outdoor concerts are in full swing

to round out the hot summer days. My Americana series will have paintings to represent what being an American means to me. Of course there will be traditional representation, yet in my own bold, colorful and unique way. So enjoy the fireworks, check back and I'll get busy.

The New Kid by Dee Wright Wimmer

This acrylic and pastel painting is featuring a Friesian mare. Her timid expression is telling the audience she is the newest member on the farm.
